A section of Industry Road in Elizabeth Township was closed to traffic Friday morning because of a fire in a commercial building.
The fire was reported shortly before 5:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Industry at the intersection of Boyds Hollow Road in Buena Vista, according to emergency dispatchers.
Heavy flames and smoke were showing when first responders arrived, prompting a second alarm to summon more firefighters to the scene.
The Trail View Convenience Store is located on the first floor of building with apartments above.
Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported that the owner of the convenience store lives above the store with his wife and child and that they were able to escape safely.
There were no injuries reported.
