A man is recovering after being shot in the leg in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood.

Officers were dispatched shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of Euclid Avenue for a six-round ShotSpotter alert.

Police said calls about a man shot in the leg also came in while they were en route to the location.

They found an 18-year-old in Garland Park with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers applied a tourniquet until medics arrived.

Police said Pittsburgh EMS transported the man to a hospital in stable condition.

Police said witnesses saw a small gray SUV fleeing the area after the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pittsburgh police at 412-255-2621.
