Man in stable condition after being shot in Pittsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood
A man is recovering after being shot in the leg in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of Euclid Avenue for a six-round ShotSpotter alert.
Police said calls about a man shot in the leg also came in while they were en route to the location.
They found an 18-year-old in Garland Park with a gunshot wound to his leg. Officers applied a tourniquet until medics arrived.
Police said Pittsburgh EMS transported the man to a hospital in stable condition.
Police said witnesses saw a small gray SUV fleeing the area after the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
