1 injured in Millvale apartment fire

An apartment building on Grant Avenue in Millvale caught fire Tuesday night — sending one person to the hospital.

The fire call also included entrapment, according to the Quaill Volunteer Fire Department on Facebook.

There was no initial word on the condition of the person sent to the hospital from the two-alarm incident, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.


1 injured in school bus collision in Carrick

One person was injured Tuesday after a school bus collided with a vehicle in Carrick.

Pittsburgh police in Zone 3 were dispatched at about 3:45 p.m. to the intersection of Brownsville Road and Stewart Avenue, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

Officials said “preliminary information indicates” the bus was traveling on Stewart toward Brownsville when it collided with another vehicle.

One person, who police said was a juvenile, was treated with “minor facial injuries” on the scene. No one was taken to the hospital, police said.
