Police seek SUV driver who fled scene of Forest Hills crash on foot

A 19-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash in Forest Hills Monday night, Allegheny County Police said.

According to county police, the crash happened at Ardmore and Yost boulevards shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Police determined the woman was traveling west on Ardmore in a sedan. She was making a left turn on Yost when her car was hit by an SUV traveling east on Ardmore.

Police did not release the woman’s name.

The driver of the SUV, described as a Chevrolet Trailblazer, fled the scene on foot and was seen heading east on Ardmore.

The driver was described as a black male who is tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
