Alfred J. "Chip" Funari III was among 30 Pennsylvania veterans to be inducted into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s "In Memory" program. Funari died in 2012.

Several local veterans were inducted into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s “In Memory” program during a mid-June ceremony in Virginia.

Thirty soldiers from Pennsylvania were part of a group of 770 inducted during a ceremony held June 14 at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, Va. The ceremony was moved from downtown Washington, D.C., for the first time in three decades, because of the scheduled military parade taking place.

The program honors those who returned from Vietnam after their deaths.

Inductees for 2025 include the following veterans from TribLive’s coverage area:

Army

• David R. Coy of Indiana

• Robert J. Fieder of Lower Burrell
