A Johnstown man is accused of driving into a parked vehicle in Lower Burrell and leading police on a chase through New Kensington before he was pulled over early Saturday, police said.

Christopher Jamison, 36, also is accused of driving a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, which he is required to use because of a drunken driving conviction, police said.

Police say they first saw Jamison at Leechburg Road and Chester Drive in Lower Burrell at 3:10 a.m. He allegedly didn’t stop for police and instead took a series of streets to get to a home on Marlboro Drive in New Kensington.

Officers finally stopped him at Craigdell Road and Falcon Ridge Drive in Lower Burrell.

He is accused of driving under the influence, attempting to flee or elude police, illegally driving a vehicle without a required ignition interlock, reckless driving and numerous driving offenses.

Police filed charges Tuesday.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled in June before District Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec.
