Fun in the sun will have to wait at Leechburg Area Pool.
Officials announced on social media that opening day is postponed one week to May 30.
“Mother Nature isn’t cooperating this weekend,” the post said.
Temperatures onSaturday were expected to barely climb into the 60s after a morning of steady rain.
Early forecasts for next week put conditions at 73 degrees and sunny.
The pool, at 167 Park Road in Gilpin, underwent several upgrades ahead of the summer season, including a new coat of paint, new pool pump and kitchen upgrades, according to the pool website.
“We hope to see everyone soon,” the post said.
