Letter to the editor: Advice for our state and country
I would like to see less politicians in Pennsylvania. Florida has part-time politicians, and can then have free college for their people. Our state ranks in the top five in the country for the most politicians, most corrupt and highest paid. Wow!
Do away with lobbyists. It’s just another way for corruption. Too much money changing hands.
Quit giving our tax dollars by the millions to colleges. Tuition keeps going up. Trillions in offshore accounts. Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi’s salary is $1.4 million. Why?
I’m all for safety for everyone. I live in the country and we have little crime. But if President Trump wants to send the military to patrol my road, I’m all for it.
Do away with all the free government money and stuff. If you are able to work, you should be dropped from the government leech team.
I’m all for enforcing all our laws. There’s a way to come to our country legally. If you’re a good person and willing to work, you’re more than welcome. But there must be a limit set. We can’t have everyone in the world move here.
We have become a country of greedy liars. You can travel the country telling everyone you are a war hero. Even give seminars about how great you are. And the courts say it’s OK. Stolen valor is never OK in my book. I’m a disabled Vietnam vet, and it’s a slap in the face to all military people. Yes, I really am.
