Letter to the editor: Biden is no hero

Tribune-Review

I find it interesting the accolades the writer of the letter “Thankful for Biden’s accomplishments” (Dec. 26, TribLive) bestowed on President Biden, and I’d like to share what else Biden has done.

His history of lies goes back to his Senate days, and when he thought he was going to run for office again, he said he would not pardon his son Hunter, who is a drug felon who broke federal firearm laws. How would that work out for you or me?

The border crisis speaks volumes for itself.

Bidenomics created the worst inflation in 40 years, as prices have risen 19.4% during his term, according to the Consumer Price Index.

Then there’s the loss of the Keystone XL pipeline and selling off the national gas reserves.

He allowed more foreign purchases of American real estate than any other president (China).

He let a Chinese spy balloon fly across the country on its photographic tour.

He pardoned thieves, embezzlers, drug dealers, murderers and traitors who sold information to Iran.

Finally, there’s the coup de grâce, the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of 13 serviceman, 45 servicemen and 170 civilians injured, and $7 billion worth of equipment left behind, which was paid for by taxpayers.

I can’t praise or forgive Biden for any of that. I don’t know what’s in the air or water where this writer lives that enables such thinking, but I’m glad I don’t live there. One would think of Biden more as a “horse’s backside” than a hero … in my opinion, of course
