The editorial “No excuse justifies silencing student journalism” (Jan. 29, TribLive) focused on the need to support student publishing, which I fully support. However, it made no mention of what seems to me, or a preponderance of recent voters, as a wholesale change needed for the good of the country. Part of this change is the calling out of extreme liberal media and its journalists who are not independent at all, but rather liberal propagandists.

Yes, that’s the elephant in the room that might be causing the lack of interest in journalism at Seton Hill University and other places. It’s sad that journalists themselves seem to be the root cause of their own demise. I wish they could see the forest for the trees. I miss the good old days when journalism was journalism, and not political activism full of propaganda.
