Just over a month into his second term, let’s just see how President Trump is making America great again. The especially smart moves so far include cutting the:
• FAA air traffic controllers just before the start of the air travel season.
• IRS just as tax filing season gets going.
• National Institutes of Health as we encounter an influenza outbreak.
Trump told us Ukraine started its war with Russia, then a day or so later tells us that Russia started it. (Does he know that the U.S. attacked the Japanese at Pearl Harbor?) The first time ever, the U.S. sided with an aggressor in a war, as it voted in the U.N. against condemning Russia. Trump lied about European military support for Ukraine’s self-defense so badly that the president of France had to interrupt to correct him. Then he repeated the lie. Trump is defaming the honor of the U.S., hollowing out its good word and destroying its standing in the world.
The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project (a politically balanced body) overwhelmingly named Trump the worst president in U.S. history. Four years to go, and I’ll lay odds that he’ll keep that title. First, 45th out of 45, then 47th out of 47.
