The Norwin School Board race of 2023 was won by the “We aRe Norwin” Democrats. They swept all five seats. This included the loss by the conservative Republican candidate Bob Wayman, a staunch fiscal conservative. It set the stage for their tax increase last June, as taxes were indeed raised 6.8%.

So, what do you think will happen with this year’s upcoming budget now that Norwin is moving forward on the renovation of its stadium at a cost of $30 million? Another certain tax increase? Yes, because the cards are stacked against the taxpayers of Norwin with a Democratic majority on the board.

If you, the taxpayers of Norwin, have any hope of regaining future control of your wallets, you need to vote for fiscal conservatives. That would be in the form of current board member Alex Detschelt. Detschelt is the most engaging and prepared member of our current school board. He always asks the hard questions and reasons for better alternatives. He’s definitely not afraid to stand up and fight for you.

Do not make that same mistake again and vote for tax-and-spend Democrats. The next primary is May 20.
