America, “a shining city upon a hill,” I believe has been irreparably damaged due to President Trump and his supporters. This disgrace is clearly on you all. I couldn’t care less about Trump’s tiff with the Pope; it’s a Trump diversion. Let’s use common sense, vote with moral clarity and forget prayers to miraculously get rid of this administration’s cruelty.

Americans support Trump in spite of the stench he has brought to the presidency. Remember when 1,500 insurrectionists were pardoned? Many have been rearrested on new crimes like kidnapping, child sex crimes and homicide. Some have used their Trump pardon in their defense.

Research at Boston University has estimated eliminating USAID led to the deaths of 750 million people, mostly children. Then there were the extinction of a civilization threats (AKA genocide). I feel that is the most horrendous comment by an American president.

The ICE agenda, Epstein files, destruction of the DOJ, grifting, insider trading, abandoning Ukraine — all continue as the Trump family enriches itself. I see this as a devastation to American ideals. It’s difficult to write down these travesties with a dry eye.

I wish we would stop with the Jesus stuff. If Jesus is real, he has a real sick sense of humor. No place for religion in governing; separation of church and state.

It’s time for introspection, hopefully. Maybe we don’t deserve a great America.
