During his 2024 campaign, President Trump claimed he was going to decrease inflation dramatically on Day One if he was elected. He was also going to solve immigration, save manufacturing and coal jobs, and not start any wars, as if he had a bag of fairy dust to sprinkle around that would change everything overnight.

Instead, he unleashed the DOGE to slash “fraud and waste.” Long-term agencies foreign and domestic, such as USAID were terminated or put on hold. Food already paid for with U.S. tax dollars was left to rot on docks while people starved. NATO allies were insulted and alienated. The only promise acted upon was increased deportation, but not just of criminals; the deported included a 4-year-old birthright citizen undergoing cancer treatment with his mother and those in the country legally awaiting asylum decisions, kidnapped and deported when they arrived in court for case reviews.

The first 100 days after Trump’s inauguration turned America into a banana republic, the laughingstock of the civilized world. We elected a man convicted of 34 felonies, tax evasion and sexual abuse and who has clearly stated that anyone with a mental or physical disability or who has the “wrong genes” doesn’t deserve life. So much for Making America Great Again!
