After seeing the continued support from the die-hard MAGA base of all things President Trump and co-President Musk do, I had a realization of what Trump’s greatest accomplishment has been so far. In my opinion, they have been able to convince hard-working Americans to accept higher prices and slashed government services that served all citizens (with the nice touch of making sure MAGA hates on public workers, even our veterans), acquiesce to the idea that no taxation on billionaires is in the middle class’s best interest, and that we need to support a ruling oligarchy that apparently needs more wealth.
Can you even imagine if during the Biden years he proposed paying high tariff taxes and slashing Social Security/Medicare for “the good of the country”? The fallout, rightfully so, would have been felt across the country. But because Trump is doing it — and his base has convinced themselves he is doing it for them and love of country — they all fall in line on the propaganda trail.
I wish someone could tell me what happened to We the People. I see nothing but We the Sheeple.
