A player-by-player look at the Steelers offense entering training camp:

Chris Boswell

No. 9, 6-2, 185 | Boswell’s struggles last season were well-documented after he was the AFC Pro Bowl kicker and signed a big contract earlier in 2018. Boswell bet on himself in the spring, deferring a $2 million roster bonus until after training camp.

No. 16, 6-0, 179 | Signed by the Steelers immediately after the draft, Wright will compete with Boswell. He made 77.4% of his field goals and 98.5% of his extra points over three seasons as UCF’s kicker.

No. 4, 6-5, 195 | He has held the Steelers’ punting job since beating out incumbent and fellow Aussie Brad Wing during training camp in 2015. Although Berry was shaky enough in September that the Steelers auditioned possible replacements, they re-signed him when he hit free agency in March. He averaged 43.7 yards on his 63 punts in 2018.

No. 8, 6-0, 200 | Berry’s job isn’t totally safe because of Berryman, a rookie who the Steelers targeted as a priority to sign as soon as the draft ended. Berryman averaged 43.8 yards on his 206 punts at Western Carolina.

No. 57, 6-4, 245 | Unlike the other specialists, Canaday does not face direct competition from a newly signed player. But rookie Trevor Wood is listed as “tight end/long snapper,” so Canaday better not get complacent.
