Are you ready for a Pittsburgh Steelers team without Antonio Brown?

Apparently No.2-in-line-to-be-No.1 wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is.

On Sunday, just hours after news broke that Brown is headed to the Oakland Raiders in a trade for draft picks with the Steelers, the exuberant Smith-Schuster tweeted, “I’m Ready” with a photo of him catching a touchdown pass with Brown in the background.

The photo appears to be from the Steelers game against the Raiders on Dec. 9, 2018. It was one of Smith-Schuster’s best games with 2 touchdown catches, but the Steelers lost 24-21.

So next season’s changing of the guard will likely feature Smith-Schuster stepping up to be quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s top target.

In 2018 Smith-Schuster was statistically the team’s top wide receiver with 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

But many say that his resume was bolstered by playing alongside Brown, who often drew more attention from opposing defenses. Smith-Schuster, a second-round pick in 2017, was also named the teams’ MVP last season all the players.

Throughout the off-season, Smith-Schuster has maintained that he wanted Brown to stay with the team.
