Since he was sentenced to prison in September, Bill Cosby has given up coffee, bread and dessert, and he’s dropped down to 195 pounds, according to the actor’s spokesman.

“He said despite the circumstances, this is an amazing experience,” said Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesman, in an interview with NBC10 in Philadelphia. “Yeah, he used the term ‘amazing experience.’”

Cosby, 81, was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in 2004.

He was recently moved to SCI-Phoenix’s general population, CNN reported, and he is in a single cell without roommate. He’d previously been housed in a single-cell unit near the infirmary of the Montgomery County prison.

Wyatt told NBC10 that he is Cosby’s only visitor save for his attorneys. His wife, Camille, has not visited him, which is how Cosby prefers it.

“That’s the way he wants it,” he said. “She has not visited him. He does not want her to visit.”

Instead, he told the TV station, Cosby speaks to her via phone three times a day for the allotted three minutes.

Other inmates are assigned to assist Cosby because of his age and the fact that he’s legally blind, Wyatt told NBC10. He enjoys talking to them and hearing their stories. He has also received thousands of letters, Wyatt said, and strangers have put thousands of dollars on his prison account.

Wyatt said Cosby wakes up at 3:30 a.m. and exercises in his cell, doing leg lifts and push-ups. Then he showers and waits for breakfast.

“He’s mentally strong,” Wyatt said told the TV station. “He’s just a strong man.”
