A portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Nov. 9 to 5 a.m. Nov. 10, 2019.

The eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed tonight between the Allegheny Valley exit (Exit 48 at Harmar) and the Pittsburgh exit (Exit 57 in Monroeville).

A detour will be in effect from 11:59 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m. Sunday, the Turnpike Commission posted on social media.

The closure will accommodate crews performing bridge work.

The suggested detour is for motorists to exit at Harmar and take Freeport Road to Route 28 and then onto I-579. Then, take the Veteran’s Bridge to I-376 East, which will lead back to the turnpike in Monroeville.
