Point Park University students will pay about 3% more in tuition next academic year.
Tuition for a full-time undergraduate student in Point Park’s schools of education, business, communication or arts and sciences will be $20,130 per semester, or $40,260 per year, in the 2026-27 school year.
That’s an increase from this school year’s tuition of $19,540 a semester, or $39,080 a year.
Students in Point Park’s Conservatory of Performing Arts will pay a semesterly tuition of $25,630, or $51,260 per year. That is an increase from $24,880 per semester, or $49,760 per year.
“The modest tuition increase of around 3% helps the university manage rising operational costs while continuing to invest in academic quality, student support and campus infrastructure,” said Marlin Collingwood, Point Park’s vice president of enrollment management and marketing.
“This adjustment allows the university to preserve small class sizes, maintain the strength of its academic programs and enhance the overall educational experience for students.”
Fees are also being raised.
For a full-time undergraduate student, the university fee will be $500 per semester, up $60 from this year. The university fee covers student services, library services, facility needs and training and administrative costs.
Activity fees will increase $5, to $190 per semester. Income from the activity fee covers student activities and services like operating the Student Center.
The technology fee will increase $15, to $250 per semester. The technology fee supports computer labs and help desk services.
The health services fee will jump $100, to $200 per semester. Revenue from that fee covers a Registered Nurse on campus, mental health counseling and the ability to make appointments through the university’s Health Center to see a doctor at UPMC.
Point Park officials say the average financial aid for an incoming freshman last year was $36,574.
