I offer my full endorsement of John Ackerman for Westmoreland County coroner. I have known John for 50-plus year and worked with him serving our community as a volunteer firefighter.
The role of a coroner requires someone who can bring professionalism and a human touch to moments that are often filled with grief and uncertainty. I have experienced firsthand John’s care and compassion. In 2020, my wife of 60 years passed in our home. I discovered her unresponsive and called 911. John arrived before the ambulance arrived. He took the time to help me through every detail, as I did not know what to do. He made all the necessary calls, including the funeral home, and stayed with me until other family arrived, all so I did not have to worry about anything.
If elected, John will serve with honor and a deep respect for the dignity of the job. His expertise, care and compassion are what make him the ideal candidate. I encourage you to vote for John Ackerman for Westmoreland County coroner.
