Letter to the editor: America headed in wrong direction

I am proud to be a United States citizen. Living in a country where we can voice opinions without fear of being oppressed. I am worried that these freedoms are being taken away.

We live in the greatest nation because we are not persecuted for our beliefs. All that is good is being blindly pushed aside by greed and a thirst for power.

I fear that Social Security, being paid for by working citizens in hopes of a secure retirement, is being plundered for political use.

We live in the greatest country, and I fear we are headed in the wrong direction. You cannot make America great again because it has always been great.

Please don’t let a would-be dictator take away our freedom.
