The southern border is essentially closed for the first time that I can recall. This was accomplished by executive orders, and freeing up our Border Patrol agents to do the job they were hired to do.
During the Biden/Harris administration, we were told repeatedly by the Democrats that we needed comprehensive immigration reform (amnesty for illegal aliens) to control our borders. While making this false claim, they allowed up to 20 million unvetted illegal immigrants, including hundreds of thousands of known criminals, to enter the nation, and then used the Border Patrol agents to disperse them around the country. This was pure insanity.
We now see Democratic politicians fueling hatred against Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents for doing their job, rounding up and deporting these criminal aliens. Violent protests in Democrat-controlled cities targeting ICE facilities and agents simply attempting to enforce federal immigration law are occurring daily. Protesters, including illegal immigrants, are carrying Mexican and Venezuelan flags while spitting on and burning the American flag. I’m fairly certain that if American citizens held protests in a Mexican or Venezuelan city carrying the American flag while defiling that nation’s flag, they would end up beaten and jailed, or possibly killed.
