Letter to the editor: Trump's tough-guy act fails

How many chances does President Trump get before Republicans realize their mistake? What a slap in the face with the Putin meeting. Macho Trump cowered to Putin immediately as they met on the red carpet.

During numerous handshaking, Trump appeared intimidated. It was apparent things would get worse. It seemed like Putin manipulated Trump as usual. Putin is intelligent and knows how to feed Trump’s ego enough to get him to change his threats.

Examples: Putin must announce a ceasefire now, Putin must stop bombing, as Trump said how upset he is with Putin, Trump will bring the Russian economy to its knees with sanctions. Instead, Trump did zero and got nothing. He looked to me like a whimpering puppy facing a pit bull. However, once we read the notes taken from that meeting, all will be clear. Oh, that’s right, Trump doesn’t allow note taking.

Imagine how our allies and the rest of the world see this, especially after the tough-guy talk about Russia. I think Trump is a true grifter and a fraud, and his presidency is without a doubt the largest, most successful hustle ever. In my opinion Trump will lie, cheat and scam because he is unstable; he shows me every day. Trump ended the day by saying, “Now it’s up to Zelenskyy.” WHAT?
