The League of Women Voters of Westmoreland County (LWVWC) works to help voters become more informed and make their voices heard in the upcoming primary election on May 20. This election has over 360 candidates running in over 230 statewide judicial, county, municipal and school board races in Westmoreland County alone! On the upcoming primary election ballots in Westmoreland County, there are two statewide judicial races, one Court of Common Pleas race, five countywide row office races, and numerous school board and municipal races.
To empower voters, the LWVWC has published an online voter guide, VOTE411.org, with information on statewide, county and school board races and candidates. The LWVWC has invited nearly 100 candidates in these specific races to speak directly to voters by uploading their qualifications and answers to specific questions. Candidates who have not yet responded may still respond and are encouraged to do so.
VOTE411.org is a one-stop shop for election-related information that provides nonpartisan information to the public. By entering your address, voters can see what is on their ballot and get candidate information as well as other information about ballots and voting.
