Parkway East outbound lanes that were closed early Tuesday morning because of a vehicle fire have reopened, according to an Allegheny 911 dispatcher.

Tribune-Review news partners WPXI-TV reported a garbage truck caught fire just beyond the Squirrel Hill Tunnels.

The closure affected eastbound lanes between the Beechwood Boulevard and Edgewood/Swissvale exits.

Crews responded to the scene shortly before 5:30 a.m. It was cleared before 6:20 a.m.
