I read George Will’s April 25 column on the decline of America’s population. Will cited a record low fertility rate last year and all the potential economic impacts. What he didn’t make any effort to mention, and what the Trib ignored by irresponsibly publishing his article, was the impact of abortions on population.

Since 1980, over 85 million people were not born because they were aborted. That number is arrived at using published Guttmacher estimates, filling in blank years with conservative whole numbers and taking into account successive children who were never born because their parents were aborted. If this number of people were alive today, Will’s column would not be needed because there would be no population decline.

I watch with sadness the young couples who enter abortion mills locally and then exit after killing their children. The sad thing is not population decline, but parents who kill their children, and for all the wrong reasons. Enticed by a morally bankrupt society that permits and encourages it. This is why the population is in decline, both physically and morally. The American holocaust.
