Fireworks are set to fill the skies over New Kensington on Sunday night.

The 20th annual New Kensington Fireworks Festival was held on Fourth Avenue on Saturday despite the day’s rain and storms, but the fireworks display to cap it off was canceled because rain got into the show’s equipment, according to Mayor Tom Guzzo.

Around 8 p.m. Sunday, the festival said on its Facebook page that the fireworks are “a go” for tonight.

The show is set to start at 10 p.m. and last for about a half hour.

The rain date was Sunday.
