The drowning deaths of two men in a swimming pool in Pittsburgh’s North Hills this summer were both accidental, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday.

Christopher Gebhardt, 63, of Pine, and William Miller, 57, of Cranberry were found dead in the pool in the 200 block of Whetherburn Drive about 6:20 p.m. July 4, the medical examiner said.

Officers were dispatched to the home for a welfare check, according to Allegheny County Police.

First responders found the two men. A preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play.
